NubiScope determines cloud coverages and cloud base temperatures continuously

NubiScope continuously scans the sky, day and night. The system determines the cloud coverage from zenith to horizon with high spatial and time resolution. Every 10 minutes NubiScope acquires the values of more than 1000 measuring points.

Based on the acquired data a multiple layer model produces realistic images of cloud coverage. NubiScope is able to determine the total cloud coverage, the coverage of the different cloud layers and the main cloud base height. NubiScope records the dynamic changes of the cloud cover with high reproducibility. While measuring the cloud base temperatures, it can also detect potential inflight icing conditions.
